What else do you do besides school?

Aside from research and clinical experience, its important to have some other things on your resume that personalize it. Most competitive applicants will have the clinical and research experiences boxes checked. Other experiences are one area that’s sort of personal to each individual applicant and therefore key.

Ideas here are pretty much endless. A few examples would be joining or starting a club at school, playing intramural sports, or even a religious group. Clubs at school are an easy way to get involved in community service and evens that you can put on your resume. Look for a club that’s health science related in some way or start one. Any type of community service that you would be interested in doing, would also be good to do and mention in your application.
